Build and Design

The WalkingPad C2 is a flat deck with a belt and nothing else. No handrail, no console, no incline. The deck hinges at its midpoint, so the pad folds to roughly half its length for storage. Two small wheels on the front edge let you tilt and roll it into place without lifting the full weight.

The deck sits low, which matters more than it sounds. Every inch of deck height is an inch your standing desk has to gain to keep your elbows at the right angle. The C2 adds only a few inches, so most standing desks with a maximum in the 48 to 50 inch range will still work for users up to about 6’2”.

The belt surface is textured rubber over a multi-layer base. It is long enough for a normal walking stride at 2 mph for most adults; users over about 6 feet will notice a slightly shortened step. Weight capacity is around 220 lb, which is the main hard limit to check before buying.

Performance and Daily Use

Speed runs from a crawl up to about 3.7 mph. In practice, desk walking lives between 1.5 and 2 mph, where you can type and talk without thinking about your feet. At that pace the brushless motor is quiet; the sound you hear is your own footfalls. Video call noise suppression removes it entirely with a headset mic.

Control is by a small remote or the KS Fit app. The remote is the better option day to day. The app tracks time, distance, and steps and offers an automatic mode that speeds up or slows down depending on where you stand on the belt: walk toward the front, it accelerates; drift back, it slows. It takes a session to trust it, then it becomes the default.

At 1.5 mph, expect roughly 3,000 to 3,500 steps per hour; at 2 mph, around 4,000 to 4,500. Two hours of calls covers a typical daily step target. A rubber mat underneath is worth adding on hardwood or in an apartment; it stops creep and dampens vibration.

Expect around $399 at list; the C2 is discounted often, so check the current price.

Who Should Buy It

Anyone with a standing desk who wants to walk during low-focus work and needs the pad out of sight afterward. The fold is the feature nobody else matches, and the low deck means it works with more desks than bulkier 2-in-1 units.

Who Should Skip It

Anyone who wants to jog. The WalkingPad R2 adds a handrail and about 6 mph. Users over 220 lb or over about 6’2” should look at the Urevo 2-in-1 or the Lifespan TR1200-DT3, which have longer belts and higher ratings. And if you will walk most of the day, every day, the Lifespan’s commercial-grade deck will outlast the C2.
